God Will Come Through For You

Even when it feels small, God is still in it.

I had only $4 with me. That’s it. Four dollars to my name and I needed to get my daughter some mittens for school. They were having a snow day and even though I found a jacket, I couldn’t find mittens anywhere.

Every store had already taken down the winter items, and replaced things for springs arrival.

It was the evening before her snow day at school so I went hunting for these mittens. First I went to the dollar store in hopes to find mittens under $4. They didn’t have any. Then, I went to Marshall’s where I found two pairs of woman mittens. They were too big for my daughter’s tiny hands, and they were more than $4.

I was about to give up but then I decided to pray. I knew deep in my spirit God didn’t want me to give up. I prayed for him to come through and provide.

I decided to hit one more store because it was getting late. I felt led to go to a nearby Target. I started looking everywhere in the kids section. I looked and searched. I kept looking and searching, but I found nothing. I felt frustrated and defeated. I said, “Abba, please show me what to do.”

I felt led by the Holy Spirit to go in a certain area that I didn’t see before. I thought I had looked everywhere but there was a small rack I hadn’t noticed. At the very bottom of the rack were mittens. I got so excited because they were my daughter’s size!

Even though I was excited to find the mittens, I felt nervous to turn over the price tag and check how much they were. I closed my eyes, took in a deep breath, then I looked. Boom! They were $3.50! I was completely in shock and awe and immediately started to thank Jesus.
I started to praise and worship the Lord because he came through for me. He heard me because he’s a hearer and answer of prayer - Psalm 65:2.

I went from feeling frustrated and defeated, to happy, excited, and full of JOY.

God reminded me of Matthew 6:25-27,34 - Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

He also reminded me of Philippians 4:19 - And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

So even in the moments where you think time has run out. You feel defeated and like you’ve lost. Turn to God and he will hear you. He will answer you. He will supply all your needs. He will come through for you even in the last second.

Nothing is too big or too small for God. Nothing is too hard for him. All he wants is our faith and trust. It’s faith that pleases God. I didn’t lose faith or hope even though it was starting to look like I was about to lose. But that’s exactly when God came through.

Pray, trust, and believe. Don’t worry, don’t faint. He will come through for you.
